The Reception classes build on the experiences gained in the Nursery, developing the early communication, literacy and numeracy skills that will prepare young children.

Stepping Stones of Learning

Well-qualified and experienced British trained teachers staff the Reception classes, with a teaching assistant in each class. The children receive the individual attention they need as they continue to be guided through the 'Stepping Stones of Learning' identified in the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

These stages of learning are critical periods in a child's development and our setting provides an excellent environment for children to acquire all the important first skills that they need for a successful education. Our school provides continuity and progression through each stage of a child's development.
