School Life

First steps on the stage in the chorus of a Year 3 play to the lead role in a whole school performance: this is the type of journey that students make as they develop and grow with us.  We see passion and pride in our students as they represent the school in a football tournament in Hong Kong or Beijing.  We applaud their triumphs as members of dance groups, orchestras, bands and choirs, or as they experience the thrill of solo performances.  We offer the challenging International Award, combining service to others with expedition and adventure.  Shared experiences lead to lifelong friendships and memories that will endure long after tired bodies have rested.

To extend their curriculum, Primary pupils experience a variety of day trips in and around Shanghai, and Secondary students visit various parts of rural China.  Living and working with others brings out the best in everyone and, through service projects in Shanghai and further afield, our students see how life looks through other people’s eyes: education that can’t come from books and lectures.
